Twenty percent of the proceeds from Tuesday’s sales at Pedone’s Pizza in Riviera Village from 11 a.m. through the evening will go to a local organization. Every Tuesday, Pedone’s donates 20 percent of the day’s proceeds—including those from take-out and delivery orders. Previous beneficiaries have included the Redondo Union High School girls soccer team, Riviera Hall, and Palos Verdes High School, among others. Money raised during the Tuesday events ranges from about $400 to more than $1,000. No flier is required for people to participate. The pizzeria sees the program as an opportunity to help out the community, according to a sign posted in the eatery. Pedone’s Pizza is located at 1819 S. Catalina Ave. in South Redondo Beach.
