Gather up the family, friends and neighbors for an evening of snow play, music and fireworks. It’s a perfect way to kick off the holiday season! The City of Manhattan Beach and Skechers present the 22nd Annual Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks extravaganza on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 7:30. The festivities begin at 4:00 pm with Santa making his entrance aboard the Chamber of Commerce float. Skechers’ Snow Park will be open from 4:00 to 6:30 pm with five 50’ sled runs, two snow play areas and snowmen available for family photos. A donation of canned goods, cash or a new, unwrapped toy is requested for admission to the Snow Park. The always popular Bounce Park will have two huge slides and the Fire Dog bouncie for smaller children and will be located in the parking lot on the south side of the Pier. The Hyperion Outfall Serenaders provide the sounds of the season starting at 5:00 pm and will be followed by the John Brown sing-a-long which will run until 7:00 pm.
